American Star

We first encountered the American Star cruise ship in Beaufort, SC.  http://www.americancruiselines.com/Find-a-Cruise/southeast-us.  It seemed she was everywhere we went.  In Fernandina Beach the passangers disembarked.

Another dreary, misty cold day.  Luckily there is no rain. The birds were hanging around due to the nasty weather. The docks were a mess.  I learned that the locals call this weather 'snotty'.
Dave used the marina's courtesy computer and checked his e-mail.  It must have been dial up it was so slow.
Foul weather gear and off to Fred's Variety store, milk, coffee, flip flops for Dave.  Local knowledge and we found ourselves at a French Bakery , Chez Lezan, great bread.
Our treat here was the Budweiser Clydesdale team was in town to deliver cases of beer ot tteh oldest pub in town, The Palace.
After that we went back to the boat and I finished my second book for the trip.  5:30 cocktails on the boat and dinner at Don Quizote's and had Tappas and a bottle of wine.  It is a good thing we were walking back to the boat.
Very windy during the night.

Still Thursday.  After dinner on board we went into town.  At the Court Yard we wondered in on a piano player who was a treat to listen to and played the flute also.  You are right, Jethro Tull, Billy Joel, Police, the Taylor brothers, Scott Joplin, and Ray Charles to mention a few.  Nest door at the Irish pub the music was equally as good but different.
Oops, no one mentioned the train that went through to the paper mill and back after midnight.
Shrimps around the city
