We are at the library again.  The weather is cloudy and cooler than yesterday.
Our tow days in Dunnellen with Lloyd and Holly was a respite. I got two loads of laundry done and some down time from cooking.  Thanks Holly!
I did Christmas shopping at the mall yesterday afternoon. Dave did boat chores.
I have caught up on FB and family pictures and events.  Thanks Tina and Brad.
Last night we shared a seafood dinner accompanied with blues..  nice evening.  We wanted to walk in the park in the moonlight but it started to rain.
Today is cool with clouds.  I am finished here and our next stop is the antique mall.   You never know?
Tonight we are going to a concert at the News-Journal Center.
The plan is to head home to NMB on Monday.  I can start my Christmas season then.

Wednesday morning in Daytona was bright and sunny.  We went to the beach, got out the Ballard's chairs and set up on the beach to read.  I collected some little shells and we started a nice tan.
After lunch we drove to Dunellen and had a delicious meal prepared by Holly.
It was nice to sleep in a bed, in PJ's with not socks.
This AM it is cloudy here, I have done two loads of laundry and Dave and Lloyd are setting up the Fisk Christmas tree.
We will head back tomorrow after lunch.
There is a free concert we plan to attend in Daytona tomorrow night.
Our internet connection is still a frunstration.

This is the bridge caring International Speedway Blvd.  A view from the park during our bike ride.

This may be the closest I get to petting a dolphin

Along Beech Street, this is on the land side of Daytona along the Halifax River.

International Speedway Bridge in the sunset

The water is finally calm

Lots of ground to cover, lost of cars to see.  Suerae,Theresa  and I sat having coffee at Krispy Creme and I think we saw 1/3 of them go through the intersection.

Well, what a great meal we had  at the Ballard's, we gave thanks for family, friends a good trip and finally sunshine.  Thanksgiving night  we stopped for a drink with Bill and Theresa and got to see Matt and meet his bride Michele.
Friday was one of the three days of  the show of shows at International Speedway.  'The Turkey Rod Run"  5,000 cars for Dave and Jim to experience.  Suerae and I did the thrift stores.  Some luck and ideas at a consignment shop for things to make.
Friday evening Dave and I enjoyed Thanksgiving left overs and reminiscing with  Bill and Theresa.
Breakfast with Suerae and Jim, a walk through a small (real) flea market and then they were off to Orlando.  We relaxed on the boat. I finished my book, Mudbound. Dave used the dinghy and the spark plug wire came out of the magnito on the outboard.  Something he will have to fix back in NMB.  He did find the boat rows well.  Other boaters on the dock invited us for cocktails.  They are a group who trailer their boats to different marinas.  Not sure why???
I think Saturday night was the coldest night we have had so far.  Another boater told us it was 44 degrees.  I got up and put my shoes on; we did run the heater at intervals during the night, a first for the trip.
Sunday morning we rode our bikes and explored shop windows on Beech Street, all the motorcycle shops, and the parks along the river and I did some shelling  with projects in mind.
In the afternoon we experienced the HUGE permanent flea market.  They had junk, produce and some unusual products.  I don't think we saw half of it.  We stopped at Walmart and bought an indoor/outdoor thermometer.  It will give us some data.
Only one breakfast and one lunch out since we got here so today, Monday, we had to do some grocery shopping.  Dave is helping a fellow boater at the dock and I am at the library.
The story of the library is:  We had to pay for internet connection, first time on the trip.  We signed up for a week.  To this point it hasn't worked for three of those days.
Dave has worked out a financial deal with the marina here, good security, to leave the boat until we come back in January.  This will eliminate the confusion of how to get the car back to Daytona from parts South for the Ballards.
A few pictures to post and then I am going shelling along the river bank again.

A Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.  We are thankful for each other (Dave and I) and our wonderful children their spouses and our grandchildren.  Their love and support and that of the rest of our expended family is very importanr to us.  Our good health is an  enormous blessing.
We are blessed to live in the USA!
We have made a great move to N Myrtle Beach and love our new home and location.  We have been giving many blessings to be thankful for.
Our trip becoming a reality after many years of uncertainty  has not been taken for-granted.  It is taking the two of us to check and recheck each other.  I am glad we didn't put the travel off any longer.
May you all have a wonderful day where ever you are and take time to reflect.
J.

Good morning all.  The sun woke us this morning, however, there are clouds and a breeze.
Last night we had dinner with Jim and Suerae at their timeshare digs.  We finally about finished the meatloaf.
This morning we are doing boat chores.  Dave has gone for ice and I am about to clean the cooler, floors are swept.
It seems boat consignment is in store for the guys (Dave and Jim) and 'not so new shops for Suerae and I.
They have a rental car so we have their Park Avenue so we can go our separate ways.
