A front went through between 3 and 4 AM. There was lots of lightning and thunder that
sounded more like fireworks. Yes, and
some leaking on the bunk.
The temperature was 55 degrees and heavily overcast. Why are
we getting further south but the temperatures are not getting higher than
home? There is a better forecast
coming. The wind direction was in our
favor, behind us. Crossing the St
Andrews Sound was not too difficult but seas were confused. I spent most of the trip below reading and
still was very chilled. We arrived at
the Fernandina Harbor Marina.
Dave worked on a drawing for Trega and faxed it to
them. A yummy lunch of mushroom soup the
Mary and Walter Keith brought us on their way south. I finished my second book and Dave napped.
We walked up to the top of the Historic District to visit
the French bakery and get a delight for breakfast. There was still not sun to speak of and the
wind was NNE; switching to NNW. After
reading all the menus in the district we chose one close. Showers a drink and off for dinner. FYI, another lesson learned Connie. The scallops fried were $17.97, the bill came and broiled price was higher.
Sorry folks, it is 10 PM and I can’t get this posted with
the slow internet here.
